FRAPS Recording Tips

If you are going to be using Fraps to record your videos that you make here are some tips for making great videos. First Fraps relies massively on your hard drive performance. So if you use let’s say a 7200 RPM speed hard drive your videos once you start recording  they will take a big hit. For instance I just picked up a Western digital Caviar Black edition 7200 RPM hard drive while using Fraps it went from 60 fps without recording to high 20's to low 30's with recording. Then used my Western digital Veloci raptors that are 10000 RPM in Raid 0 Hard drives and huge difference without recording 60FPS.With recording stays at 60 or high 50’ s.So know hard drives are the secret to great recordings.
